I need to look like the white guy in Color Me Badd

I need to find some vintage wear for a halloween cosume. Color Me Badd oriented.

I'm not sure if my local thrift stores are going to help too much. Basically, I need to find the following:
-z cavaricci type pants. Dark, loose at the thigh, tight/tapered at the ankle
-Dark sport coat. This needs to blare early 90s R&B. Like a jacket that ends at the waist with loose shoulders and tight wrists.
-Black shoes with tassles

Are there any sites that specialize in what I'm looking for? Like I said, my local thrift stores are _not_ going to have this kind of stuff (I've been looking fairly hard) and I would like to get it all in one place if possible.

Maybe International Male has a website? I'd look it up for you but I'm kind of afraid to on my work computer.

I second and third the thrift store idea. Seriously.

Dark, loose at the thigh, tight/tapered at the ankle

If you can't find this exact style at the thrift shop, buy pants too large, wear them belted high on the waist, and cinch them at the ankle, inside the cuff/hem, where no one can see. A few good strong stitches in each should do it, or even a bunch of staples, or what the hell...glue them. It's only for a few hours. Make sure you can get your feet in and out of them if you want to wear them again!

Like a jacket that ends at the waist with loose shoulders and tight wrists.

Again, if you can't find the genuine article, buy a jacket too large, cinch the wrists by folding excess fabric to the inside, and add some shoulder padding.

I'm pretty sure 3/4 of the guys in Color Me Badd were white, and YouTube seems to agree.

Response by poster: Thanks for the suggestions. Like I said, I have been looking through the thrift stores but my area of town doesn't have crazy thrift store selections like other major cities so I'm trying to leverage the power of the internet. Also, my work firewall filters out ebay, so I wasn't able to search there but I will definitely check out desjardins suggestion when I get home.

Are there any internet based thrift stores (besides eBay, I guess) based in larger cities that I might be able to browse?

This site has clothes sorted by decade. The website experience is very much like browsing through the thrift store racks due to the lack of advanced search capabilities.

never mind, I guess they do have advanced search.

Aren't you in Denver? And they have no 80s/early 90s stuff in thrift stores? I've spent some time in Denver and they definitely have what you're looking for. It's all over the place, are you sure you're looking in thrift stores, not vintage stores? Well then yeah, eBay is your friend.
