Can the Cisco PIX 501 be upgraded with any firmware so that it is IP Version 6 (IPv6) Compatible?

We have a Cisco PIX 501 as seen in the link below...

Is there any way for the firmware to be upgraded so that it is IP Version 6 (IPv6) Compatible? If not, is there a comparable router that we can purchase that is?

Response by poster: Got my answer.... After a long call with Cisco, I found out that the latest firmware is version 6.3 and in is IPv6 compatible... However, one would have to register with on the Cisco site and download the firmware (for a price)

OpenBSD and pf will support ipV6, and you can't beat the price. :)

I don't see a 6.3 firmware for the 501. It looks like it is for the 506. The latest for the 501 is 6.1.1 from Feb, 28, 2002.

Kaozity, send me an email about this.

The latest version of firmware for the 501 is the latest in the 6.x train, currently 6.3. The problem with the 501 is that it does not run 7.x code, but 6.3 is fine and will support v6, but not with a full feature set.
