Youtube but minus the eyes

Php Youtube clone but for audio only?

Does anyone know of open source software / cheapish commercial software that offers the similarities to youtube but caters to audio instead of video? Not looking for album posting. It will just be a list of random noises that people could upload, rate, share...etc.

Best answer: Maybe Drupal with the audio and rating modules installed? Drupal is what I used when I taught my class about podcasting. It worked really well and Drupal itself is way flexible in case you decide later you want to add features.

I haven't tried it but ccHost is the software which runs the excellent ccMixter site. It also has all the web2.0 type stuff you need if you want to get a community going
