It is important that I know the lyrics to "Hey Pete! Let's Eat More Meat" AKA "Hey Pete, Let's Eat Mo' Meat" by Dizzie Gillespie, Buster Harding and Lynn Peterson! The mysterious line can be heard twice here.

Well it sure sounds like:

"'Cause the meat on the Texas cow is sweet" (1st time)

"'Cause the steak from the Texas cow is sweet" (2nd time)

I cannot, however, point you to a definitive lyric sheet. Is that what you're needing here? Some sort of definitive proof? Or just a consensus view?

Response by poster: That sounds convincing, with "cheap" the first time. Thank you. I would like definitive proof though! (A friend is using the song in his act).

I'd drop the 'the' on the 2nd and go with just "Cause steak"
