How to search for tv show content via internet

Is there a way to search upcoming television shows for topics? For example, I would like to know if there are any upcoming television shows about the Black Plague. Short of getting a tivo, is there a way to do this via the internet?

All of the tvguide search sites that I've come across only seem to search the title, and not the show description. Thanks!

MeeVee seems to be offering me up suggestions based on show descriptions matched to keywords and interests I customized but I haven't been using it long enough (nor watch enough TV) to be able to say how comprehensive their matching is.

Here's their search return on "Black Plague", which I think is promising as the word "plague" did not appear in the show's title.

Title: Secrets of the Dead

"Mystery of the Black Death" (episode: #302)
"Mystery of the Black Death" explores why the plague that swept through Europe periodically from the 14th through 17th centuries didn't kill everyone who was exposed to it.

thefutoncritic has some search capabilities and discusses upcoming shows. Epguides is also a great resource, though it mainly shows info on shows that have already aired. I've found using a combination of google and the site:epguides.com along with my search querey has given me great results when trying to track down weird information.

TitanTV will let you search the episode description. You want "advanced search" (top right when viewing the schedule grid)
