Adobe Illustrator can open .cdr files (to some extent... some of CorelDraw's features won't translate properly). If you can find someone with Illustrator, which is a little more common than CorelDraw, you're in business.

Response by poster: I don't have the CorelDraw, I just have the file.

ThumbsPlus on Windows understands CDR format, and among its many features it can do format conversion. I have the program but I don't have any CDR files to test it on, so I don't know how well it works.

But there's a free evaluation copy; give it a try.

I have both, if you email me a link where i can download your file, I'll give it a go. Or you could try emailing it to me if your email can stand the size.

By the way, Paint Shop Pro also knows how to read CDR files.

Turns out the solution I was going to suggest won't work, but I'll put it here anyway for future AskMeefers searching for threads on converting files.

This site will convert all sorts of files (image, sound, video, etc) into other formats:

http://media-convert.com

Doesn't appear to do cdr files though.

If it's just a one-off conversion and you don't mind registering with Corel, there's a free 15-day evaluation version of CorelDRAW Graphics Suite X3 you can download on corel.com. They talk about "Money back guarantee" but you don't have to purchase anything for the 15-day trial. Last I tried it, it was fully functional.
