Can anyone identify this music ?
I heard this short musical passage on NPR's "Fresh Air" and I'm trying to identify the source (because I really like it.) Fresh Air can't be bothered with identifying all the music they use so I'm hoping someone will recognize this short piece. Thanks!

It really sounds like something from Michel Gondry's The Science of Sleep, but I listened to the clips from every song on the album in the iTunes Music Store and couldn't find it.

Actually, after glancing through the archive, I see that there still are a few pieces they claim to not be able to identify, even after a few weeks. Sorry if this turns out to be one of those, and yeah, that's pretty lame.

Could it be "Howard Makes It All Go Away" from the "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind" soundtrack? Clip here.

Response by poster: Thank you, Vacapinta. You are correct, Sir! That was it. I am grateful to you because I would never have found it by myself.

There was actually an unsettling coincidence involved for me here. I was listening to One Ring Zero right before opening this thread! So, after I clicked on your sample link my first thought was "oh man...this isnt working...and why did my Itunes just start back up??"

Yes they can; it just takes them a couple of days to post it.
