Where can I get an inflatable mattress in metro DC?

It has to be accessible by Metro and I need to get it this afternoon. Thanks.

Linens And Things should have them (I'd call first, but I'd be shocked if they didn't). There's one in Pentagon City (right outside the metro).

I would think that one of the big "home stores" would have one. There's a Linen's in Things in Friendship Heights (accessible via Red Line Friendship Heights stop) and there's a Bed Bath and Beyond downtown at Gallery Place (I assume it's near the Metro but am not sure). You could call and see if they have them, but that's the first type of place that popped into my head.

Walgreens and CVS carry them (mind you the really cheap ones) for about 40 bucks.

Target, in the sporting goods section, with the camping supplies. They are the aero-bed types, way better than what most people would use for camping, but that is where they shelve them. I know it isn't metro accessible, but is a short cab right from the Crystal City metro. I just bought one there a few weeks ago.

I can confirm that the Linens and Things at Friendship Heights carries air mattress. I was in there three weekends ago pricing them. Call to double check of course. It's in Chevy Chase Pavillion, a few stores down from a Border's.

There's also a Metro-able Target in Wheaton.

In my opinion, the easiest Target to get to via Metro (though I guess that depends somewhat on where you live) is the one in the mall at Prince George's Plaza, on the Green line. Target is just across the highway. (There's a bridge over the road, or you can walk down to the corner to cross at the light.)

That said, I'm pretty sure the Bed Bath & Beyond in Chinatown (yes it is right by the Metro, less than a block) mentioned above would have what you need, though it might be more expensive than Target.

Bed Bath & Beyond and Linens and Things should have the big, fancy, expensive ones with the bulit in pump and such, and Target will have the cheaper ones that you can blow up with a hair dryer or something similar.

Costco do a very good one with a built-in pump. The one I bought in Costco in the UK was £26, which is about $50. A US Costco should be around the same price, or cheaper.

I got mine at REI in College Park, I believe. It is a bit of a walk from the CP metro line unfortunately.

There must be a bunch of online places that will ship it for free, if you aren't in a hurry.
