I am driving to school. I am in need of media for my ipod+itrip. Suggestions?

What podcasts (etc.) will entertain me for a 14 hour drive?

I love:

Cush: Things I Say (I reccommend this for everyone)
Keith and the Girl (Can be childish and crass, but very very funny- also, each one is almost an hour)
Slate Explainer Podcasts
Slate Magazine Podcasts
The Bitterest Pill (listen to some of the earlier episodes)

Penn Jillette's podcast has been entertaining me on my commutes lately. Good stuff.

3hive is good. But for long trips, I also like to strip the audio from DVDs (usually cartoons -- simpsons, futurama) and listen to those. (mplayer can do this pretty easily.)

I'm partial to PK&J, although they can be a tad ridiculous at times. If you're feeling like embracing your liberal elitism (I'm assuming you're liberal - if you're not, you won't like PK&J either), check out On The Media (NPR).

Get the audiobook version of Freakonomics. Easily one of the best audiobooks I've ever come across. I guess it helps that the book is really awesome in the first place, but, I enjoyed my drive/walk when listening to it.

Time Magazine and I reccomend The Sound of Young America :)... On the Media is another excellent show. I'd reccomend Jimmy Pardo's Never Not Funny as well. Tell us a bit about your interests, etc...

TTC Lectures have been occupying much of my time lately... but that's because I recently graduated and was getting withdrawl symptoms.

I'm with YoungAmerican. If you're into music, check the KEXP's live performance podcast.

If you're willing to fork over a few beans, get the Ricky Gervais podcast. It's well well well worth it.

This is the only music podcast I find acceptable at the moment. The Chillcast with Anji Bee, amazingly soothing voice and great track selection. (on iTunes too).

Just a pleasure to listen to.

Oh, off topic ( but not much ) - when your iTrip stops working like mine did, give it an antenna upgrade! When you're looking at the front, the antenna is in the upper-left corner. The case just pops open. Solder in a new wire or an old cell phone antenna like I did.

Oh, and now that i've actually read the question, My current favorite is This Week In Science (twis.org). The 'casters are a good pair. Good luck!

I love triple jpodcasts. In particular Dr. Karl, Sunday Night Safran and Jay and the Doctor. If you're a sports fan This Sporting Life is also good.
