What fancy restaurants are open in Seattle (WA) on Christmas Day? Fancy would be spending more than, say, $50 per person, as opposed to cheap takeout. Thanks!

The Seattle Times newspaper Sunday Dec 15 issue in The Mix section had an article on exactly this, broken down by neighborhood. I don't have that issue at hand anymore but I remember Ray's Boathouse was the one in Ballard. Ray's can be quite fancy.

The Chinatown/International District area will be hopping on Christmas Day.

If you want to do fancy, there's a couple of hotpot restaurants in the neighborhood where you can get some exquisite cuts of meat for your table - Happy Lamb, and Chengdu Memory. Other places, like Honey Court, will happily serve you fresh seafood at market prices. And by 'fresh', I mean 'you can see your meal swimming in a tank before being ordered'.
