Turkey day in Hogtown?

Need recommendations for a very nice upscale restaurant in downtown Toronto for a party of 10 for dinner ... on December 25th. Help please?

Ex-Torontonian here, returning with family in tow for Christmas and Boxing Day. Did the same thing last year and went to Tundra at the Hilton where they served up a beautiful & creative Christmas dinner on the 25th. We are looking for something similar this year, but someplace else for variety. Tried calling a couple places so far (360, Canoe) but they are going to be closed. I wasn't much for the fine dining when I lived there so I'm not a great font of ideas. I was hoping some of the Toronto MeFi Posse could provide some other suggestions? Thanks in advance!

Cajú is quite nice, although I am not sure if it will be open or if it is upscale enough for what you want.

Response by poster: Interesting ... we called Cajú last year b/c most of the gang are Brazilian. The place was closed for the whole week I think, but that doesn't stop me from trying them again this year. Thanks!

Best answer: Pretty much your best options are going to be restaurants attached to hotels. So I'd check with Epic, Victor, Annona, Windsor Arms, etc. Basically, rather than googling for nice restaurants in Toronto, google for nice hotels, and then look at their restaurants.

I believe Toronto Life typically publishes a list of places that will be open on Christmas, but probably not until later in the year.

Chinese restaurants are usually open on Christmas day. Have you tried one of them?

Response by poster: Thanks for the replies everyone. After all the researching and calling around, the group decided to modify the travel schedule so we won't be arriving in T.O. until the 26th. Problem solved, I suppose. In any case, I've marked jacquilynne's as best to help future answer seekers.
