I'm a new physician and am looking for ways to stay on top of new research, especially alternative medicine (herbs, supplements, lifestyle modifications, etc.) What are your favorite newsletters to learn about research that is being published?
Especially looking for holistic medicine, since that's not something I get a lot of exposure to in my training. I'm a Family Medicine doctor so open to a wide breath of resources.
I already get JAMA and AAFP!
Not a newsletter, but if you actually want to see research as its published, you can set up saved searches in pubmed and get results sent to your email on whatever cadence you want. Here are instructions.

Ask if your institution or practice has access to Natural Medicines/NatMed. It's a monograph database and evidence-based effectiveness and interaction checker for supplements and alternative therapies--plus CME--kind of in the same model as UpToDate (though making that comparison may be giving it more credit than it deserves).

Seconding PubMed summaries, but the secret sauce is in crafting the search terms. I know someone who does this for a living ...

The top specialists in my kind of cancer are extremely active on Twitter, so there's a lot of discussion of new research there. I wonder if there's a similar group for family medicine.
MSK has a great database for current info on supplements that is designed for both patients and professionals.

Curbsiders podcast is awesome for primary care stuff, not too focused on alternative medicine but very evidence based.

I like MedPageToday for sending medical news items in whichever areas you like.

You could get the table of contents of the general medical journal of your country delivered to your inbox to stay informed of what's happening where you are. Examples are the Canadian Medical Association Journal (CMAJ), British Medical Journal (BMJ), Medical Journal of Australia (MJA), New England Journal of Medicine (NEJM), etc.
Pro tip: set up filters so these go to a folder that you can look at when you want to; otherwise your inbox may become a source of overwhelm and stress.
