Will the 10:30 Toronto-Kinsgston Via Train be on time for the eclipse?

Looking to take a train tomorrow from Toronto to Kingston to see the eclipse. The eclipse starts at 2:09, totality at 3:22. The train is scheduled to arrive at 12:49. Is there info on how often that train is delayed and by how long? Is there any reason to expect greater delays than usual tomorrow?

I have taken the Toronto to Kingston VIA train hundreds of times. It is late probably 25% of the time. I would say it is significantly late (30+ minutes) less than 10% of the time. This typically occurs because it gets stuck waiting for a CN train to pass it. No clue whether that is more or less likely tomorrow.

Hi, I live in Kingston. The train is always late. It's real irritating. Oh, I am sure you've done your research, but be mindful bus schedules will be a little different because we are closing so many streets. The train station is nowhere near downtown. Cabs might be more reliable. And if you have a ticket to Fort Henry or are headed to Grass Creek Park, uh, one of our major bridges is out of service VERY unexpectedly (a support beam literally broke earlier in the week and has fucked up traffic severely; the timing is absolute shit). So I am sorry to say, traffic is gonna absolutely nightmarish if we get the amount of people we are expected to get.

My VIA train from toronto to Kingston today took a detour (up the Don Valley, very scenic) due to Metrolinx work. It was at least an hour delayed if not two.

They have at travel advisory for Aril 6 -7
They mention some trains will take a detour.

Due to maintenance work by the railway infrastructure owner on April 6-7, there will be no service to or from the Guildwood Station, and some trains will use a detour.

There's a lot of significant delays showing today Aug 7
Lot of them are taking 4 hours to Kingston.
Maybe as a result of the advisory

There's no advisory for tomorrow. Your train should take 2 hours 15 minutes.
