Shows with Upstairs Royals/Downstairs Staff?

I just finished Cocinera de Castamar and it rekindled my love of stories about estates that involve families and those who serve them. I'm looking for shows or movies like Cocinera de Castamar, and Downton Abbey. Bonus points if they are in the language of the setting. TY!

Robert Altman's Gosford Park is a good one.

A modern take on this, but Parasite might fit the bill.

I'd also recommend Rebecca, the original 1940 version, not the excreable recent Netflix one.

If you haven't seen it, 1000% Gran Hotel. It's more fun than La Cocinera de Castamar (in my opinion) and absolutely has the class drama.

I think The White Lotus would fit the bill (the story is about the wealthy at a resort and this who serve them). Season two, set in Italy has both English and Italian speakers.

The other obvious show is The Gilded Age, also created by Julian Fellowes

I'll suggest Upstairs Downstairs, if no one else will.

I don't suppose you'd be interested in Benson.

The Forsyte Saga, on Kanopy and a couple other streamers.

Gentleman Jack to some extent

Though it's mainly about the upstairs family, The Secret Garden (movie from the 90s based on the novel) goes into enough detail about the servants' lives that it could fit this category too.

The Syndicate, season 3 is about a group of servants who win the lottery, and end up richer than the lord who owns the house. Lots of fun about who has to politely respect whom as the episodes unfold.

The Gilded Age (which is written by Julian Fellowes of Downtown Abbey) does a great deal of this.

Berkeley Square

One of my favorites! It's about nannies in London around 1900.

Servants

Much more vulgar than your typical period fare, especially the first episode. The music and tone of the show are kind of inconsistent. However, the show presents some really interesting customs and rituals of servant life in a country estate that I haven't seen in other TV/films.

The Duchess of Duke Street

Based on a true story of a woman who worked her way up through the ranks of service to become a chef and hotel owner.
