Looking for lovely bed sheets from a decent company

I'd like to buy some bed sheets as a gift, but they have to be sustainable and ideally made in the US. Any suggestions?

My sister has requested bed sheets for her birthday. I know she would prefer I purchase from a sustainable, ethical company. So, no Amazon, Walmart, et al!

Her birthday is in ten days, so I"m in a bit of a time crunch. I'm in the mid-hudson valley, NY, if anyone knows any local stores where I could shop in person. Online is great too, as long as they'll get to me before Sept 15th.

I'm willing to spend reasonable money on this. But not a zillion dollars.

What's your budget? Coyuchi is generally more than I'll spend but occasionally has super deep sales.

I really like the Colored Cotton sheets from American Blossom. They are made with cotton bred to be a cinnamon color. They are lovely crisp sheets.

Macy's Charter Club extra deep pocket damask sheets advertise themselves as sustainably made and they are WONDERFUL sheets. Crisp, thick, smooth, gorgeous colors, and the striped ones are especially beautiful. Their shipping is fast.

I tried buying sheets from the Company Store the other day and had to return them, just as a data point. I thought they had a reputation for high quality but the sheets I got from them were thin and crunchy.

US manufactured (from this list), appear to be in your delivery timeframe:

Authenticity50.com - "seed-to-stitch," "100% made in USA luxury bedding"

Red Land Cotton - "Our American-made cotton bedding, bed sheets, and bath towels are proudly made in the USA and crafted exclusively with cotton sourced directly from our North Alabama farm"

Thomasville at Home - "manufactured by Wilkinson's Inc in Valdosta, Georgia"

If you’re willing to drive up to Hudson, Les Indiennes makes truly beautiful wood-block print fabrics (including sheets) and has a back room with sale items. High-end bedding company Traditions is based just a few miles away in Claverack & they’re having their yearly sample sale for another day or two. (I usually go to their outlet store, but I would call first to see if they’re open before driving up.)

I have been using sheets from both stores for over a decade. High quality.

Dehei!

"Made from beautifully soft rainfed 100% organic GOTS-certified jersey cotton, Dehei works closely through all stages of production with certified fair-trade manufacturers in India. This working collaboration stabilises socio-economic conditions for this group of smallholder farmers. Their focus echoes the brand's: to be sustainable and ethical from seed to garment production.

Working in small batches, and cotton milled-to-order, Dehei operates with the aim of reducing any unnecessary waste. Unfussy to wash and look after, Dehei is bedding that can take care of itself - softening with each use, just like your favourite tee shirt."

LL Bean has, maybe surprisingly, some of the best quality sheets. The set of percale sheets I have are the softest ones I own. One ting to note is that more thread count does not equal better. The more threads in the weave the thinner the actual thread. With a lower thread count you get thicker threads which make for softer sheets.

I forgot about Under the Canopy. Organic and they're having a big sale right now.
