Show 2 Google Accounts in Calendar but NOT Gmail

I have a personal Google account and a Google Workspace account for work. I want to be able to see both in Calendar, so I added my work account to my personal calendar, and this worked great. But now my personal Gmail (Android app) started showing my work emails and I DO NOT WANT that. How can I get it to stop without messing up my calendar?

It sounds like you added your work Google account when all you wanted to do was to add the calendar.

Remove your work account from the calendar app, then add a calendar.

Google Calendar > Gear icon > Settings > Add Calendar > Subscribe to Calendar. (This is for desktop, but the changes will be on all platforms. I've never done it from the app, so if you only use the app, someone else will need to assist.)

Agreed, remove the work account from your phone entirely, you don't want the whole account syncing things to your phone. Then go to your work account calendar and share your calendar (under My Calendars on the left in the browser, Settings and sharing for the relevant calendars) with your personal account. You will get an email and can then set up your personal account to show your work calendar as well.

Response by poster: Ah, but when I share my work calendar, it only shows free/busy (setting managed by my employer), and I need event details. Any options to set that up?

Best answer: I am not able to search for it right now, but I think there is a way to add the entire account and then decide what syncs. Uncheck everything but the calendar?

Best answer: Yes, in that case go to Settings > Passwords and Accounts, find your work account and change the Account sync settings for it to only sync calendar.

Under calendar sharing, find 'secret address in iCal format', copy that URL, then use it to subscribe to that calendar on your phone

Response by poster: Yay, I found the sync settings and unchecked everything but the calendar. Thanks everyone!
