Can't use Oculus VR because locked out of facebook

I've been blocked from using my Oculus VR system and my Meta account for over three weeks because the related Facebook account is locked. I've submitted my id but Facebook won't accept it as it doesn't match. Now what? Their forced arbitration?

Of course instead of my first name I used Kiddos and then I used both my spouses and my last name. I did use my correct birthdate, and I did submit my spouses ID to cover the whole double name thing but Facebook just doesn't care and rejects it all.

The typical suggestion on the Meta forum is to just start over with a new Meta account, but then I would lose all the game progress and all of the stuff I purchased with that account. It's been three weeks and there has been zero progress on my ticket with Meta, although I've been promised the "highest team is working on it". Of course Facebook has sent me a single message telling me, and I'm not kidding, don't call us, we'll call you:
Hi,

We are investigating your report and will respond if we have any questions or need more information from you.

Thanks

Best answer: Meta has cut thousands of jobs, and is in the process of cutting thousands more.

I’d guess you are in a lengthening queue that will get quite a bit longer before it gets shorter.

Best answer: Assuming you have separate Meta and Facebook accounts, and they are just linked together, then this article explains how to unlink them. This article and this article explain how the separate Meta & Facebook accounts are supposed to work.

In theory, under this new system, everything Oculus related is linked with your Meta account, and this Meta account is a separate matter than your Facebook account - though the two can be linked. But trouble with your FB account is not supposed to affect your Meta account at all - that is the idea anyway. How well it actually works in practice I can't really say.

Response by poster: Yea - I attempted to do the unlink, and have specifically asked for Meta to also do that. At the moment a new and functional Facebook account is what is linked to the Meta account, I am still getting errors from Meta. Meta claims this is 100% an issue with Facebook.
