Hanging fruit basket over toaster oven?

I have a small kitchen. I want to hang a fruit basket from the ceiling. The best place to hang it in terms of space is over the toaster oven. Will this mess with the fruit?

The fruit basket is a wire-mesh thing (this is it). The toaster oven is a breville mini

I use the toaster oven fairly often to cook/roast/bake stuff, so it's sometimes on for a while at high temperatures.

I want to keep a variety of fruit and vegetables in the basket.

I wonder if this will be a less-than-ideal place to store my fruit, because of the heat from the oven.

Line the fruit bowl bottom with aluminum foil and the fruit will not cook.

There some insulating pads that could line the lowest basket. Here is such a thing. Just figure out the size you need.

I'd throw a silicon potholder on the bottom and it should be fine.

Just remember not to store ethylene emitting stuff near ethylene ripening stuff (i. e. apples do not play nice with citrus) and potatoes and onions need to be kept apart.

Toaster ovens are pretty well-insulated on the top, so this should be fine. If, on your initial testing, you find fruit getting a little warm you can insulate them as advised or maybe just direct a fan so that it will disperse any heat hanging in the air there.
