How do I get my Twitter archive to work?

I recently downloaded my Twitter Archive, but I can't view it.
Somewhere between the unzipping, the json file, and the "Your archive.html," something is broken.
Either the file is unreadable, or I get this from Twitter:
Something went wrong, but don’t fret — let’s give it another shot! You need to unzip your entire archive, not just individual folders, in order to view them here. If you keep experiencing errors, please visit help.twitter.com/forms/privacy.
I've unzipped my entire archive, not just individual folders. I've gone to the Twitter help site and filled out the form. Silence from Twitter, going on nine days.
I've even tried importing the json file to an online json coverter, but it's either too large a file or isn't in the right "format." I know nothing about json so I don't know what this means.
Has anyone encountered this problem? I just want to be able to view and sort my tweets. It can be a csv file, or Excel, or Google Sheets, or some other kind of spreadsheet. I don't know what step I'm missing.

Because no one else had replied I thought I'd give it a try but I'm afraid it seems OK for me.
I eventually got the download. Unzipped it to reveal an "assets" folder, a "data" folder, and the "Your archive.html" file.
I dragged the file to the location bar of Safari (on a Mac) and it opens and I can see my tweets, scroll, click around, etc.
But from your description I'm not entirely sure what the problem is. Can you view that file in your browser? Do you want to do something else with the data files but can't?

Wondering if anyone watching this thread knows of a third-party tool to browse one's Twitter archive? All the .json files are present in my download, but (as per my comment above) the native .html wrapper to browse them doesn't ever load any tweets.

Which browser and operating system are you using?
MeFi’s own simonw has written a tool that, among other things, will let you import a downloaded archive into an SQLite database. You could then user a database app to view it, or his own Datasette code to view it in a browser. Obviously this all requires a bit of technical skill/knowledge.

Oh hell. My issue turns out to be a Safari problem. Chrome handles the archive just fine.
