Downloading .mpg video file from archive.org to Mac AirBook

I've been trying to download an .mp4 video file from archive.org to my Mac AirBook with little success.
When I click the MPG2 file under the Download Options menu on this page, it opens the video in a new tab. When I clicked on the File dropdown on the Safari browser menu at the top of the screen, I clicked on Save As and was given two options for the kind of file it would save to my desktop: .webarchive and .pagesource. I saved as .webarchive, which just reopened the video in my browser window, and .pagesource tried to open in Quicktime but the application didn't recognize it.
I would like to save this video so I can edit some footage into a different video. Is there a workaround so I can save this as a Quicktime file and open it in iMovie? Thanks!

Best answer: Hold down option/alt when clicking on the MPG link. This will force Safari to download the link instead of playing the video.
