Excess covid vaxx for booster seeking folk near nyc?

Where are excess or almost-expired COVID vaxx shots in/near NYC?
From a colleague & friend: Two new york city folx, immunized against COVID early in 2021 with mRNA vaccines. Both approx. 50 years old.
We know the data around boosters is solid; improves protection at minimal risk. We also know protection is waning.
Those two people don’t want to take shots away from those who need them, but also we are *wasting* shots in the US - as evidenced by stories of vaccines going out of date, and would happily get boosters if they were from those stocks. If necessary, both would state happily that they are immunocompromised in these circumstances.
Advice on where to find these shots?

Your "solid" link is a single study. The image literally has the words "preliminary results" stamped on it. Meanwhile the FDA committee that will make recommendations on boosters (for both efficacy and safety) is meeting right now, today. I would just wait for the FDA recommendation.

Three people I know in Manhattan got boosters at Rite Aid and CVS. Not immunocompromised but all above age 65. Agree with goingonit, just go in and ask the question.

Point of order: third shots are not boosters.
I don't think anyone has had a booster shot yet, the plan is to roll them out Sept. 20.
I would not advise lying about being immunocompromised, seems like that could be bad for your health.

Third shots are not boosters
According to the article linked above, though, it is the same dose and the difference in terms doesn't really matter for the OP's question here :
The dosages are the same, but there’s a small medical distinction. The term is used differently based on who is receiving it. Boosters are offered to people who got the full course of a vaccine and developed a good response initially, but it waned over time. Third doses are given to people whose immune systems weren’t able to fully respond to the initial vaccines.

She told them the truth, which is she planned to travel to Israel where visitors without boosters are required to quarantine.
