Need to purchase men's dress pants, navy 28x30 by end of day Friday

I have an urgent need to purchase a pair of 28" waist x 30" length navy blue dress pants. Boys size 16 may also suffice. Location - Toronto.

Complication - nothing on Amazon will ship and arrive in time (I tried and had to cancel a few items due to actual/updated delivery time after I hit 'purchase'.

Not having any luck browsing The Bay's website, or H&M. Given this less common size, where should I look? I have only tomorrow evening to shop in person but will pay $ for expedited shipping if ordering online today means they will come on time. Thanks in advance.

Try Lands End. They can custom hem pants not sure about the time frame however.

Best answer: Go to Uniqlo. There's one in Toronto. They'll almost certainly have navy dress pants and often have smaller sizes. I've noticed that they often sell their pants "ready to hem" (not cut to smaller sizes), but have tailors on site. At least ones in my town do - or, you can almost certainly find a local tailor quo can do a quick job.

Muji also has blue dress pants in smaller sizes. They're across Dundas from Eaton Centre (where there is a giant Uniqlo).

American Eagle (in the US at least) tends to have that sort of sizing; check their website to see if they have any in stock in a local store?

Best answer: Seconding Uniqlo. My partner has a 30" inseam and they always have pants he can wear off the rack without having to get them hemmed.

My husband is this size and has good pants luck at Gap and Banana Republic.

Just a question: are you trying to match them up to a navy jacket? If so you need to shop in person to try to match the colours, because navy is not just navy. Some are more purple, some are more blue, some are more black/dark, etc.

I'm not in Canada, but I've had to buy men's nicer-than-chinos pants in a pinch a bunch of times and I always go straight to the traditional department store, where they carry a variety of brands in an abundance of sizes.

Seconding Tom's Place in Kensington Market. They have a respectable selection and very reasonable pricing. Also, they can turn around alterations very quickly.

I was in an Old Navy yesterday and it was all chinos, no dress slacks anywhere in the store.

I'd agree with Sweetie Darling - you want a Sears or JCPenny or Macy's (if you were in the states) or whatever your local equivalent is.

Banana Republic allows you to search online for men's waist sizes. I have found six that I'm going to link here. You can call stores local to you and ask about these specific styles. The ones I'm listing all come in navy.

I also just looked at J Crew online, there are 4 dress pants that look like they might fit your needs if you can get them hemmed, because the only 28 inch waist options they have are 32 length. But both of these come in Navy.

You might also try Club Monaco which has locations on North Yonge and Queen Streets. Their Sutton Textured Dress Pants pants are on markdown but do not list a length.

In my experience, these Muji pants have a 31" inseam in the S, which is about a 32" waist. I suspect the XS might fit you.

The website only shows the inventory for stores that you can buy from online (and they're all sold out), but they have more stores than that, so you should call them individually.

They're my favorite inexpensive pant and I own them in every color.
