Tobacco related product damage to white leather sofa- suggestions for repair/hiding damage? More inside

The problem; three or four dark spots on a leather sofa (off-white) due to smouldering material falling out of cigarettes. (AKA bombers, blingers and god knws what else). It is not burnt through but scratching surface seem to have no effect. Greatly appreciate any knowledge and suggestions.

Best answer: Try white shoe polish or stain, after all it's designed for leather. The stuff slater mentions is for naugahyde IIRC.

I once did the same in my father's car....and I am still alive today. Nail polish is your friend.
