Twin Peaks, in book form, and funny

Hello, I have an itch to scratch. I would like to read Twin Peaks-y books that are also funny, preferably laugh-out-loud funny.

I have seen this, previously, and it has some good suggestions for Lynchian books more generally, but I need the funny element. Otherwise no genre preference. It should be noted that I have already devoured all the previously published books in the Twin Peaks universe by Mark Frost, Jennifer Lynch, etc. Thank you!

I looked over at the previous Ask you linked to, and I'd say the one author missing is Thomas Pynchon - I'm not sure most of his books I've read made me laugh out loud (but really, it's very rare for a book to do that for me) but many/all of them are comedic in tone.

And while I know people love to hate on it (and hate on people recommending it), Infinite Jest was the rare book that caused me to audibly laugh, and it does have an interesting collection of characters and mystery.

Okay, so this is a kind of sideways recommendation because it's not a book. But the video game Disco Elysium gives me very strong Twin Peaks vibes, it has enough text in it to fill a book and it is definitely laugh-out-loud funny. I'd still recommend it even if you're not a gamer because it doesn't rely on reaction speed and there's no combat, so I think it's pretty accessible for someone who doesn't play many games.

I've never read them, but would any of the Welcome to Night Vale books fit the bill?

I came here to suggest the Welcome to Night Vale books - listen to a few of the podcasts (which they are based on) first to see if it fits what you are looking for.
