Lockdown food in Edinburgh

My wife and myself will find ourselves in Edinburgh next week, just in time for the closure of pubs and restaurants. Both of us will be working. We are staying in a hotel between the Dean Village and the West End. They are not offering food due to the new restrictions but have placed microwaves and cutlery in all the rooms (!).

To avoid excessive microwaving, and knowing that some cafés will be open till 6pm, we would love recommendations for

a) breakfast and lunch places. Absolute bonus points for safe places that wouldn't mind us being there with laptops.

b) good take out/delivery places for breakfast lunch and dinner. Bonus points for places that are doing special take outs as a result of the lockdown. We would like to support these businesses!

No limits on cuisine or price. [Though secret bonus for any low-carb meal knowledge, but don't tell my wife.]

I love the food at Teuchters Landing in Leith, and apparently they also have a Teuchters Bar in the West End which currently opens at 4pm with food. Couldn't find any information on what is happening with them during Lockdown though.

For delivery pizza I like Origano Go but may be a wee bit far.

Mia Italian Kitchen are doing take-out to sustain themselves through the new restrictions - I’d definitely give them a whirl. Dalry Road is less than a mile from Dean Village

Tbh it's really hard to say at the moment - the new regulations were literally only announced yesterday and they're so specific and varied (eg. for licenced/unlicenced premises) in ways there were maybe not expected, that everyone's been caught on the hop and is literally just deciding right now what they're going to do to for the next couple of weeks. Some places are completely closing, others doing takeaways/home deliveries

For a treat, I had a great meal delivered to home by Contini's earlier in the year - they do require some reheating, but you might find something there that you could do in the microwave.

The Edinburgh subreddit is pretty decent and worth keeping an eye on for updates over the next few days.
