What are some shows that share the following similar properties to the mini-series The Sounds?
My wife has been watching the mini-series The Sounds religiously for the past few weeks. It's almost aggressively mediocre (it feels like a Lifetime Original Movie stretched over eight weeks), but it does contain certain ingredients that my wife finds extremely compelling. We would like help finding shows that contain as many of the following as possible:
Available for viewing in the US
Landscape porn of the South Island of New Zealand in general (bonus points for Marlborough Sounds in particular)
Some sort of fictional narrative (we're already full up on nature documentaries)
Lots of shots of people chilling on boats and/or drinking wine around water
Low, low tension (the entire point of this exercise is escapist relaxation)
Bonus points for casual use of te reo
Any help MetaFilter could provide would go a long way towards keeping things calm in our home once this mini-series concludes and would be greatly appreciated.
