Summer weight "sweatpants" for working from home

These sweatpants are my everyday wear while we shelter in place. I'm looking for something similar but in a much lighter, summer weight. Key features: - elastic waist - roomy in the belly (that's where I carry my excess weight) - pockets (!) - full length pants (31" inseam so not "Tall" but a little longer than some) - made in USA

Best answer: Soma's "cool nights" line is super comfy and fit my plus size body well. I believe most of mine have pockets.

This linen pant from American Giant seems to tick all your boxes (32" inseam) but is pricey.

I've been looking along similar lines (plus sustainable fabric practices, which is not a thing you asked for but a bias in these recommendations) and am looking at these hemp pants from Patagonia and/or these cotton/hemp pants from Outerknown. I'd also +1 the idea of linen pants, as linen is a dreamy choice for summer in general.

Best answer: I've been living in my 2 pairs of joggers that have since been discontinued, so I've also been looking. I have narrowed down to either these cotton jersey joggers from Harvest & Mill or one of these jumpsuits from LA Relaxed (sizes are pretty limited here, but those shortie jumpsuits are calling my name!)

Best answer: I have several pairs of these joggers from Champion. They go up to 2XL, but details are vague about their origin, so not sure if it's a deal breaker. I can confirm that they are a nice weight and wear well without getting baggy.

Also consider pajama bottoms. Many have pockets.

I just found these, plan to order a pair. I've bought a few things from them and they're great and last. When it's safe to do so I'm going to visit my family in upstate NY, which is tick infested. These will, I hope, be better than having to wear jeans in the heat.

I really like crisp cotton pajama pants. Poplin is good search term if you want them not to be a knit. If you want stretchy and flowy search for jersey. Not crisp, but soft and comfy.

I scored a pair of Eileen Fisher linen elastic waist pants at a thrift store and they are divine.

I also have magical silk wool blend elastic waist pants from jcrew via thrift that are not flattering but are extremely comfortable in warm weather.

Response by poster: The joggers from Harvest & Mill are exactly what I am looking for but sizing doesn't run quite large enough. (I sent an email but haven't heard back - no surprise with all the COVID chaos). So, instead, I will try out a pair of pajamas from Soma and a pair of joggers from Champion. Thanks, All !!
