What the hell is "Schlappi Das Kleine Drogodil" about? I hear it everywhere. Something about a crocodile with a prescription drug habit?

Schlappi appears to be a drug ("Drog") related parody of the more famous Schnappi.

Ah. They played "Schnappi" at my niece's primary school fete. "Schlappi" is a parody I seem to have inadvertenty stumbled upon while googling for misheard German lyrics. Alles ist klar - danke!

"Schlappi das kleine Drogodil" is a parody of the original "Schnappi" song.

Here's my translation of the "Schlappi" lyrics:

I am Schlappi, the little Drogodil (Drug Dealer)
And those are cops, naturally in civilian clothes
First, I am still completely high
Then the two snap (arrest) me! Schlappi
Schli-schla-schlappi - Schlappi goes to jail

Schnappi lives in Egypt, but I'd wager Schlappi, the dealer, launders his loot in the Caiman Islands.
