Is there a song where they sing the bass line to Bowie’s “Heroes”?

I have this notion that there’s some song from my youth - late 80s, early 90s - where there’s a vocal bit that sounds almost exactly like the bass line from David Bowie’s “Heroes.” This is proving pretty difficult to Google and my wife says I’m just thinking of the Bowie song - but I swear it’s a vocal, not just an instrument playing those notes. Am I totally making it up, or can anyone help figure out what song I’m remembering?

In my brain it’s all “do-do-do” (or possibly “na-na-na”?) to the tune of that bass line. It feels like one of those 80s bands with the sincere male vocalist with lots of emotion in the voice - to me that means folks like Tears for Fears, INXS, that kind of thing. It could have been on a movie soundtrack, maybe?

Best answer: “Disappear” by INXS?

Shot in the dark, but maybe you're thinking of the beginning of Redbone's "Come and Get Your Love"?

Response by poster: I KNEW it was INXS! The little sample of Disappear that iTunes played for me was later in during the chorus when it’s pretty different so I didn’t think that was it before.
