OCR Bar Code Image Scans

I don't own a bar code scanner. Is there any software or web service that will OCR (or, better, OCR plus look up product info for) image files of bar codes? My usual solution for quickie OCR needs, Picatext (Mac only), isn't quite right for this task.

Best answer: Oh, duh. Amazon mobile app does scanning with look-up. Then use "share" to send product URL to email, notes, whatever.

Never mind!

Response by poster: (I just need to remember to delete the damned app when I'm done so every Amazon URL doesn't want to open in the damned app).

Best answer: Since you mention Siri, you may not find it useful, but the (Android) Barcode Scanner app adds a button to a Google product search when you scan a UPC. Likely there are others that have similar fuctionality, if you prefer not to route everything through Amazon.

Apple's Camera app should let you scan bar/QR codes as well.

QR yes, barcode no.
