Name this non-science-oriented 'Far Side'-like comic

Trying to recall the name of a long-discontinued single-panel newspaper comic:

* UK or Canadian, syndicated to USA
* Dry, quirky, sardonic wit, similar to 'The Neighborhood'
* Title was a man's name?
* Artist used eyebrow ridges, exaggerated noses amd glasses to imply eyes without drawing eyes as his signature style; the Vogon faces in the Hitchhiker's Guide movie reminded me of the artist.
* Definitely not 'The Far Side'

The comic and artist names are on the tip of my tongue. Thanks!

Far-Side-esque: The Argyle Sweater – Scott Hilburn
Man's name, single panel, but not really the style you're describing: Off The Mark – Mark Parisi
Neither's discontinued, and Bizarro's still running, too.

Response by poster: This one's discontinued, creator deceased.

Humor was sometimes depressing and self deprecating, in the manner of 'you're going to die but the good news is most of your organs can be harvestred for top dollar'.
