Taylor Swift's "ME!" and Carly Rae Jepson's "Boy Problems" are my JAM and are really giving me a lot of energy whenever I listen to them. "Something That I Want" by Grace Potter, Little Mix's "Black Magic", and "Wannabe" by the Spice Girls are in the same genre of upbeat pop that makes me super happy. What else should I add to my Sugary Positive Girl Pop playlist so I can bounce around my room while I work please?

You need the '80s!
The Bangles - Walk like an Egyptian

The Go Gos "Our Lips are Sealed"

Cyndi Lauper Girls just Wanna Have Fun

And (if you don't listen to the conventional "I need the boy" lyrics,) Stacey Q's songs (2 of hearts, we connect) were great to bop to.

"Steal My Sunshine" by brother-sister duo Len (built around a disco-era sample from Andrea True) is like a sun-drenched '90s beach romp in music form.

Here is my playlist!! Contains my top favorite songs right now, including a hefty dose of Perfume and a good amount of K-Pop. As explained in the title, upbeat sugary songs are pretty much the only thing that keeps my executive function in check lol.

Also, here is my 163-song version of that playlist...I haven't updated this since 2016 I think, but these are all classics. I might add a bunch of songs from the last three years so it'll probably be closer to 200+ by the time you see this! I would suggest you start with the shorter playlist I linked above though.

I'm not super big on pop for the most part, so I don't know how useful my opinion is on the whole or whether these are exactly what you're looking for, but I've enjoyed Tessa Violet's "Crush" and "Sorry I'm Not Sorry, and Dodie's "In The Middle" a lot the past eight months or so.

Miley Cyrus See You Again

G.R.L Ugly Heart

Candi Lauder When U Were Mine (or the original version by Prince)

Leona Lewis Forgive Me (Bleeding Love is also great, Whitney-esque pop but more down beat)

Alexandra Burke Bad Boys

Pussycat Dolls Buttons
