I have the date and travel budget, I can't decide where to go

Is there a travel search engine, where I can set my flight budget, city of origin and travel dates and magically my destination options will populate? Even better if I can narrow the search down to two continents.

Best answer: ITA Matrix lets you search for dates or a range of dates. If you enter a destination, the "nearby" link that pops up to the right of the box allows you to pick all airports within a range of up to 2000 mi - note that for the larger distances, only the most popular airports are shown. If you pick your places well (gcmap.com does great circle mapping so you can see what's in a 1000 mile range or whatever) you can do most or all of a continent with a search.

Best answer: Here's a list of a few different sites. I've used Skyscanner before, but the other ones look worth investigating as well.
