What are you dancing to lately?

It need not be new, and I'm genre-agnostic on this one, but it needs to be something that makes you want to dance (or run - gym music is fine too). Some very minor further comments inside.

I cannot get through a workout without music, and I often close the day out with a dorky dance party for one. And at this point some of my workout/dance music has been my go-to for literally twenty years. A few new items are needed. I have consulted an array of metafilter threads which have supplied a few entries, but I could do with more.

A couple of things I like lately:

It's House Music, Lady Alma

I Walk, Don Cherry

Not 24 hours ago, I was very happily flailing around to Carly Rae Jespen's "Cut to the Feeling"

And for maximum uninterrupted dancing enjoyment, the audio only version

Great question :)

I can’t get enough of Superorganism these days. Lends it self to solo galumphing about incredibly well in imo.

For workout I’d go: Vulfpeck for some excellent modern hipster funk.

And people either love or hate BUSINESSFUNK but if you like the cheesy synth lines used to make promotion videos in the 80s (“the humble egg can be processed into over five Thousand product”), then this is your new crack. It’s also freely accessible, because it’s made from sound libraries of the era.

Lately Hozier's just-released song Moment's Silence (Common Tongue) has me wanting to dance.

I probably have more running songs than dance songs. For years my workout playlist was:

1. Kanye West anything
2. Crystal Castles, Baptism
3. Stromae, Ta fête.... Stromae generally.
4. Azealia Banks, 212 (Anna Wintour is also a good dance song)
5. Florence and the Machine
6. Woodkid, Run Boy Run
7. old Muse of the Knights of Cydonia era
8. various remixes of the White Stripes, Seven Nation Army (here's one, beware the dubstep)

This is a bit of an eclectic list and it's a little dated but I hope there may be something in there that speaks to you.

A little less "cool vibe" and a little more handclap-y, but my office dance break is Harlem - New Politics. Also featuring my favoritest ever lyric "I spend my money on the regular miracles. Just like you. Like me. Like everybody else."

I find I Have Arrived by Murder by Death dance inspiring, though it's maybe not a typical 21st century dance track.

More typical from my current playlist is (Not Another Lame) Fight Song by Kawehi (probably more than one of her covers is dancy, too, The Closer cover is). I also am really digging the track from this FPP from the other day.

Here's a Google Play Music playlist with all of these songs. Enjoy, Google Players!

(I had to make a few choices, and a few things weren't available, but it's pretty close. Seriously eclectic dance mix. You may want shuffle.)
