What to do with leftover broth? Complication: Sweet.

I had chuck roast in the crockpot all day with quince jelly, bell peppers, onions, and water. It was delicious but now I have a ton of leftover broth that is too sweet for a typical soup. How can I use it?

Reduce it way down and use as gravy for the roast?

would it take a lime juice / fish sauce / coconut milk profile?

I like to make rice with broth for the liquid.

Risotto or french onion soup might be a good fit, especially if your offset the sweetness with some sense sourdough bread.

Response by poster: Good call on the chili! The sweet will be offset by meat, beans, and spiciness. Thanks!

If you can save it long enough, I'd grill up a steak, slice it thin, put it on rice and use the sauce on top. Extra meaty goodness to sink down into the rice so it's extra yummy.

Meatballs for sure.
