Help me find a CTF game?

Please help me find a LAN capable CTF game meeting these criteria?

Hey there! Me and the kids (ages 5, 11) are really enjoying Quake 3, but I would like to find a game that is a little less twitchy such that the younger son and I have half a chance against the 11 y.o. gaming master...

MUST BE CRITERIA:
-PC platform.
-Not an online only game, must be able to be played locally on our LAN without Internet connection.

WOULD BE GREAT:
-Something where the human physics are more realistic, so that constant run - jump and strafe and fire simultaneously is not such a viable option. Where walking and running normally is not resulting in instant kill, and where jumping precludes accurate aiming.
-Something with big enough maps that a bit of strategy and planning is workable as a way to play, not just constant shoot - shoot - shoot.
-Good bots would be a nice extra but not the most important.

Does such a game exist?

Counter-Strike 1.6 sounds like a great option to me, if youre ok with the subject matter. It still rewards precise aim but it precludes jumping and discourages running. It can be had for a song, too.

Unreal Tournament 2004 was our go-to lunch activity several jobs ago. Huge maps, vehicles, lots of explodey guns that don't require great aim. Bots are available and I think they were decent by 2004 standards.

You seem to be assuming a 3D game from your talk of strafing and "accurate aiming," but Jazz 2 might work for you instead. It's impossible to have an "instant kill," because the most powerful weapons do less damage than your maximum health, so strategy, particularly control over the places with health pickups, becomes very important. And there are thousands of CTF maps of all different sizes so you can either find something that works just right for you or else keep changing to throw everyone off guard.
