How do you remove a Facebook post from an album?

I just created a new Facebook “album” and put one post in it (a link to a news article), using the new feature that lets you put posts (other than photos/videos) into albums. But now I think that post would make more sense in a different album. (A post can only be in one album at a time.) How do I move this post out of the album it’s currently in?

Just dump it and start over.

Response by poster: I realize I could just delete the post and redo it, but I'd like to avoid that. That would mean I'd lose all reactions and comments, and the post would appear out of chronological order in my timeline. Also, some people shared my post with my text (an excerpt from the article at the top of the post), so I'd be permanently deleting text from other people's posts.

Best answer: OK, I just did a test on desktop. I'm going to overexplain my process:

Click on the little down caret arrow at the top right of the post itself.

Click edit post.

At the bottom there are four little icons: a +person head for tag people, a smiley face, a thing that looks like an Apple II, and an upside down teardrop for checkin. The thing that looks like an Apple II is the albums icon, and for you it should be dark blue. Click it.

One of your albums should already have a dark blue highlight around it. Ignore that and just click the album you want it to be in, or click create album.

Click save.

That should do it. I was able to move a post from one album to another album and back again just like that. I don't see how to do it on mobile.

Response by poster: Yes! That works. Thank you, phunniemee.

As a bonus, this also showed me something I hadn't realized: that you can put a post in an album using a browser on a computer. Until I read phunniemee's comment, I thought the only way I could do it was with the iPhone app, so I had been wasting extra time saving posts on my computer and then switching to my iPhone to add them to albums, when I could have simply done the whole thing on the computer.
