How long to drive from Studio City (CA) to San Pedro in early morning rush?

L.A.TrafficFilter: getting from Studio City to San Pedro by 7:00 a.m. sharp tomorrow morning (via the 101/110) -- what's a good timeframe to expect?

I'm guessing 2 hours -- but since I am rarely functioning at that hour (much less driving somewhere), I don't honestly know if that's realistic or ridiculous. So what's the early morning rush like into downtown and then San Pedro? Any construction on the southbound 110 these days?

Yeah, if you're leaving at 5am you should be ok. I took the 110 from the 10 to Pedro and back Monday evening and noticed no construction, but they tend to keep that to late night/early morning hours (going from 110N to 10W will close in the middle of the night unexpectedly, for example).

You can always check Sigalert before you depart. If anything, the 101 in Holywood/Downtown will probably be the worst -- you can always take the 134 to the 5 to the 110 if it looks bad.

There are other alternates...everyone has their favorite routes. :)

I didn't see this until today, but I'm betting it took a lot less than two hours at 5 in the morning. What was it: 45 minutes? An hour? BTW, I thought you lived in mid-wilshire. Did you move?

Response by poster: Nope, I'm still in mid-wilshire -- the boyfriend lives in Studio City, and he had to make it down there for a commercial shoot, so I wanted to know what time I had to kick him out of bed (a first!). He said he made it with about 20 mins. to spare.
