Hi, Last week, I asked above a couple of songs from ~1967 that I couldn't identify. You folks got them so quickly, I thought I'd try again!

https://archive.org/details/KGO-FM_San_Francisco_10-16-67

#1 item:

Starting at 46:51. Seems to change tone around 48:00. Could be the same song??

#2 item:

Starting at 48:40. This gets into something I have heard before but I don't know the artist.

One last note: These records are really slowed down. I don't know why.

Any help appreciated!!

Response by poster: They all sound sort of like Dick Dale?

That drum sound reminds me of Sandy Nelson, but I can't find this specific track.

Best answer: Your #2 is the 1964 re-recording of "Walk Don't Run" by the Ventures. (Note: Their most popular version was recorded in 1960 and is probably the one found on most compilations.)

Best answer: ...and your first one is also the Ventures: "Let There Be Drums."
