I need your best recipes for a warm noodle salad for me to make for me and my girlfriend on this cold, rainy, night in Baltimore. There are no food issues, meat, vegetarian, vegan, all are welcome.

Best answer: Sesame noodles, more greens and no chicken variations to your taste. (this recipe doesn't specify the amount of sesame oil). NYT version here, with cucumber.

One of my favorite salads is Korean Japchae. It is sweet potato noodles, veggies and maybe meat, if you choose. Here is the recipe.

Pancit

Make it with whatever meat or protein you have on hand. I especially like it with sliced hard boiled eggs on top.

Start with a glass of sun-dried tomatoes in oil. Drain, reserve oil and herbs and cut the tomatoes into small pieces. Optionally, cut up a bunch of arugula. Roast some pine nuts in a dry pan. Then cook pasta and drain, add tomatoes, arugula and pine nuts to pasta and toss with some of the oil and herbs from the tomatoes. Top with some shaved parmesan cheese or toss in some mozzarella. Done!

This tastes great either warm or cold, so you could have leftovers for lunch tomorrow.

Honey jalapeno chicken with soba noodles! Use a bunch more jalapenos in the blender for more sauce to coat the noodles with, add some mushrooms if you like. it's amazing served either warm or cold.

Add to hot pasta: lots of garlic and lemon juice, a good chunk of cream cheese, spinach or arugula. Some sun-dried tomatoes or roasted red peppers. Salt and pepper. Top with Parmesan.

(You're probably eating dinner already but this is a very kickass warm pasta salad.)

Response by poster: These are all great and I am filing them away.

The sesame noodles were the ones made and they were a HUGE hit.
