I want to work closer to home; how to locate within a certain zip code?

Is there a way to use say google maps to hone [first time using that word in a sentence feels good] in on a specific location for business or even job opportunities?

Are you trying to find a location based on business opportunities, or vice versa? LinkedIn and Glassdoor pretty much allow you to look up via miles around a certain zip code.

You could also just walk/drive around and jot down company names and then go home and research them.
