Favorite books about outdoor leadership?

I'm looking for books about outdoor leadership. Bear Grylls in book form, but not his actual books. Suggestions?

I'm a Girl Scout leader and I like to take my troop outside. I'm looking for secular books that will inspire and encourage me.

I like Bear Grylls' enthusiastic take on things, but the books of his I've seen at are aimed at the young men themselves, not their leaders.

Not just outdoorsy books, but specifically for people who want to encourage other people (preferably girls) to get outside. I've already got Outdoor Education in Girl Scouting. Imagine Lean Into Teaching Knots and Lashing or The Seven Habits of Highly Effective Pie-Iron Quantity Chefs.

I don't know if Last Child in the Woods is the kind of book you're looking for? I've heard it's really good.

Mountaincraft and Leadership has made it through 4 editions since 1969 - it is a how to guide of course - but you couldn't leave it off the list.

I've found Horace Kephart's books to be very inspiring (I'm an outdoorsy sort too.) Our Southern Highlanders is about the mostly Scots-Irish Europeans who settled in the mountains of southern Appalachia. Kephart's Camping and Woodcraft keeps me occupied during the very hot and very cold seasons when I prefer to stay out of the woods. The Foxfire series also discusses traditional mountain skills like building cabins, home remedies and cooking in a fireplace. Here's a link to Book 1 but there are many others, both in series and sorted by topic. Walking Softly in the Wilderness lives in my nightstand; I refresh my familiarity with leave-no-trace practices and orienteering skills. It's not particularly inspiring but it really is a good guide to best practices.

(This is a cool question, because IME so much Scouting leadership training is delivered in-person -- but would be great if it could be shared more widely and off-line.)
