Recommend me a camping trip near Columbus Ohio

Can anyone recommend some nice places to go camping with a small travel trailer in and around central Ohio?

I'm planning for a short 2 night trip in mid-may with my 5 year old and my dog, so I need something that is within about a 4 hour drive of Columbus. On the recommendation of neighbors I've been to the Hocking Hills state park but I am looking for something new and more remote/quiet.

Two things I'd like to be able to do is hang out by some water (river and/or lake are fine) during the day and do stargazing at night, preferably right from the campground.

About an hour east is Salt Fork State Park. Great for lodge, cabin, trailer and some back country camping.

John Bryan State Park near Yellow Springs. Which is near Young's Dairy which I recommend.

Best answer: Have you been to Mohican State Park? I grew up around those parts and always found it really nice. Trails with some little water falls, caves, and right on the river. I don't know how busy it would be at that time, though.

Response by poster: Right now it looks like a competition between Mohican State Park and Vesuvius Lake. Vesuvius lake sounds like it would be less busy though so I'm leaning towards that. Thanks.

Best answer: I've not yet been myself (it's on the list), but I've heard good things about Ohiopyle State Park in PA. Looks like it's about 3.5 hours from Columbus.
