Rigid gas permeable lenses in NYC?

One of my rigid gas permeable contact lenses just broke. I would like to get it replaced (and should probably get an eye exam while I'm about it, so no internet-only options, please). Does anyone have a recommendation for a good optometrist in NYC who will do this and who won't try to persuade me to switch to soft lenses?

I highly recommend Dr. Daniel Ruvio at Eye to Eye on the Upper East Side. (I actually just went for my annual exam yesterday!) I don't wear contacts so I can't speak to what advice he might or might not offer, but he's a kind, thoughtful eye doctor, and you'll get a good exam with him. If you want an even more thorough exam, ask him to use the Optomap (though ask him first if insurance coverage is an issue).

Dr. Milly Mui in Chinatown. She did a great job of fitting me with RGP lenses that were both comfortable and a big upgrade in clarity of vision. She also helped me out with some issues relating to dry eye and was thorough in answering all of my questions.
