What song did I just hear? Who sings it? "For tonight I say goodbye"

Alternative/rock song, a guy with a deep voice singing, kind of slower than a typical indie song, it sounded a bit depressing. The singing was kind of muffled but the only lyrics I heard clearly in the chorus were "for tonight I say goodbye" and the very last line of the song was "For tonight I say my last goodbye" and he kind of slowed down for the very last line.
Just heard a song on a rock/alternative station playing mostly modern indie type music (so it's probably not an old song.
Any ideas?

You may have already found these through Google, but here is what I came up with:
Tonight's When I Say Goodbye by Manic Bloom
The Last Goodbye by David Cook
Say Goodbye by Skillet
Say Goodbye by Dave Matthews Band (I doubt it's this one, but I figured I'd throw it in)

There is a video in the link I posted that I think matches the song you describe.

Response by poster: It's not any of the above :( Come on metafilter, you guys always come through!
It's less "emo" than Skillet. A bit faster than the Hobbit song, and the guy had a deeper and more depressing voice, but in a darker way, not in an emo way.
Slower than the Manic Bloom song.
I really wish I could've have understood more lyrics from the song. I tried googling the "For tonight I say goodbye" but nothing useful came up. Couldn't install Shazam or anything quick enough to get the song. Keep trying, please!

Hey, That's No Way to Say Goodbye by Leonard Cohen?
And if not, can you remember what kind of instruments you heard?
Piano? Guitar?
