Name that Company

I need to name a fictitious sporting goods company. This company will pretend to be a online retailer like REI who sells GPS watches, camping gear, and bikes. Although not required, the name should not already be a registered domain. The name needs to be authentic and not cheesy. Think "Gander Mountain" or "Sport Chalet". Help me name this company!

Is there a landmark lake or mountain or gulley or something nearby? I think that "White Mountain Sports" or "Crystal Lake Sports" (though that might make customers think that Jason will chop you up as you shop for skis...we have a Crystal Lake in my town, so...) sounds really straightforward, and it gives you a theme you can use for the graphics (summits or water or whatever).

Depending on region, something like [Appalachian / Pocono / Rocky Mountain] [Outdoor / Adventure] [Supply / Outfitters] ?

"Outfitters" is the perfect word. Just precede it with an outdoorsy-type word, or the name of a landmark, or even just two or three random letters. Who would question the legitimacy of SLP Outfitters?

I was thinking of "Emporium", as in "Appalachian Emporium" or something like that.

I think the word "rugged" could be good as well.

Something like "Rugged Outlook" maybe.

I'd pick a mountain range and tack on "Sports" to the end of it. For example, here in central VA, there's a Blue Ridge Mountain Sports, and they sell exactly what you're speaking of.

--Oberland (after the area)
--Traverse
--Cwm & Col
--Saxifrage (after the plant)
--Wildeberg (something my friends and I say which is probably a terrible German translation for wild mountain)
--Moraine
--Grade VI

I like Outfitters or Provision Company tacked on to the end of a name/word/acronym. John Muir Outfitters?

Building on others suggestions:

Moraine Outfitters.

A moraine is the rugged ground left behind by a glacier, which I didn't know until recently, even though the place where I grew up was eventually renamed Moraine Township. I wonder how well-known the term is.
