Is there a way to use Yahoo! Messenger with its webcam viewing component enabled without installing the actual Messenger software?

I work in a library computer lab where we don't have any IM software installed. I have a patron who is using Yahoo! Messenger to communicate with her son in "her country" (I haven't asked for specifics), and who would love to take advantage of her son's webcam so she can see his face for the first time in 3 years. I can get her hooked up to use Y!M on e-messenger.net, but they don't offer the "View my webcam" option that's available in Y!M. I don't have a webcam, and don't know if there is likely to be a website where she can watch his video stream outside of messenger.

I've tried Googling but get no results, but I don't know if that means it just can't be done or if I haven't found the right keywords yet. If I'm going to help this lady see her son, Ask MeFi is my last chance. Help!

The son can stream his webcam on a Yahoo! Geocities page.
