Looking for an article from National Lampoon

I'm looking article that appeared in National Lampoon in the late 1970s or early 1980s, probably between 1979 and 1981. The article was called something like "Pens as seen through the eyes of 8 year old boys".

The article was 3 or 4 pages of illustrations of pens (Bic pens, Biros, etc) with details as if they were aircraft or spacecraft. I've looked for it before but my google fu has failed me. I'm interested in this because when I was a kid I would stand my Bic pen up on end, start making rocket sound effects, blast it off, and then take the cap off like it was a payload. I was happy to see I wasn't the only person who did this.

Best answer: P.J. O'Rourke's "How the World Looks to Children" contrasted pens as seen by an adult and pens as seen by a 12-year-old boy. Fantasy Issue, January 1980.

Good memory. I was able to find it using "pens as seen". Search for "pens" returned far too many hits.

Found on my collection, bought from Amazon a few years ago. It cost me $30 then. Now they want $99.
