Accessing 'real' Google

How to break out of local Google?

I'm wandering around Europe, using internet cafés for access. When I enter www.google.com here in the Fatherland, www.google.de comes up. How do I get to the 'real' Google, while traveling abroad?

Type www.google.com/ncr into the address bar and that should take you to the 'real' google wherever you are.

Upon closer examination Kenaman's link does the same thing.

Best answer: I'd recommend www.google.com/ncr.

It sets a cookie in your browser to stop google.com from re-directing you to their local site. Of course, you'll need to reset this cookie as you move from computer to computer. Convert the local heathens! ;-)
