What are some good jokes about Winnipeg or the Canadian prairies?

A friend of mine is moving from Southwestern Ontario to Winnipeg next month. We're throwing a going-away party and I'd like to give a speech and tell a few jokes. What are some good jokes I can tell about Winnipeg or Manitoba or the Canadian prairies? Thanks!

"If your dog runs away you can watch it go for three days."

Basically, watch Corner Gas. Hell, give them the entire series on DVD/Blu-Ray as a going away gift.

Be sure to use "Winterpeg" in your speech.

You know you live on the prairies :

If driving is better in the winter because the potholes are filled with ice and snow.

If you design your kid's Halloween costume to fit over a snowsuit.

While driving, you've gone from heat to A/C and back again in the same day.

You measure distance in hours not kilometres.

Here is a link to some prairie jokes.

"If your dog runs away you can watch it go for three days."

I heard this joke three separate times, from three separate people, over three separate days in Regina last month.

The dog joke is definitely an old one, and a regularly used (over used) one. Maybe that fact can be included in the speech, like "Realize you're going to hear that "you can watch your dog run away for days" joke at least three times a month. Get used to it now. Devise a convincing fake laugh now so that you're prepared." And then demonstrate a couple fake laugh options for them.

This one doesn't seem to have been covered yet, but:

There are three seasons in Winnipeg: winter, construction and mosquitos.

Sorry, don't have a joke, but be sure to play The Weakerthans' One Great City! (here's the song on youtube) at the party.

"If summer falls on a weekend, we can have a picnic."
Don't know if that really fits Winnipeg, but I read it somewhere last week.
